Jan Satyagraha movement to be launched
Ekta Parishad has declared ‘Jan Satyagraha’ movement in State to change the system to ensure justice to the deprived people, said Ekta Parishad national president Rajgopal VP on the occasion of Jan Samvad programme organised on Sunday.
Rajgopal said even after 65 years of independence, justice has not been done with poor and backward class people. People of those classes nor got the benefit of independence neither of Jai Prakash Narayan’s Sampurna Kranti movement that is why Ekta Parishad is starting Jan Satyagraha in the State.
Rajgopal further said it is very important to save water sources, agricultural lands and forests from the hands of multinational companies. MNCs are on the verge to deprive villagers and tribals from their own assets and push them towards starving. Farmers should not struggle for compensation for their land, instead they should demand partnership in company.
The Jan Samvad Tour hadstarted on October 2, 2011 from Kanyakumari. Jan Samvad Tour has been to 17 States till now and has traveled more than 50,000 km. Tour entered Madhya Pradesh on 222 day of its commencement. On entering the State, Jan Samvad tour was supported by MLA Nagendra Singh and former MLA KP Singh.
Tour members visited Dal Sagar Lake in Rewa. The Dal Sagar Lake is build over 100 acres land but some people are filing it up for personal profit even after a stay order from the court. People have appealed to struggle for saving the lake.
Janpad chairman Pramita Patel and Janpad member Ramuri Prajapati and Mangalbin Saket of Rathari welcomed Jan Samvad tour and ensured to work for the rights of the deprived people.
Rajgopal further said during the tour till now they have interacted with more than 1,500 local citizens’ movements in the country, Parishad have supported all those movements and they also supported Jan Satyagraha movement. Union Panchayat and Rural Minister Jairam Ramesh has interacted with Parishad members once during the tour and members have wrote more than 100 letters to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA president Sonia Gandhi.
